Even though there
was a chill in the air, this year’s Sherburne Arts Festival
on June 14 was a hit, with more than 40 artists and crafters showing and
selling their work, George Deveny and the Bluenotes playing on stage, and
attendees awed at Master Falconer Rick West’s birds of prey demonstration. An
exhibit of nineteen paintings by local artist Charles Sussman (donated for the
day by owners) was, as one attendee put it, “Just wonderful!”
The People’s Choice
Favorite Artist $100 cash prize went to Jeramie Yacono for his sculptures. People’s
Choice Favorite Crafter $100 cash prize went to K.C. Crafts for their handmade
jewelry and crafts.
