Calling all artists and crafters – Mark Your Calendar!
The 3rd Annual Sherburne Arts & Crafts Family Festival will be held on Saturday, June 14, 2014, 11 am - 4 pm at Gaines Park in Sherburne (next to the Library, on East State Street).
The Sherburne Public Library has revived the community art fair in Sherburne, originally begun in 1947. The new art fair takes place outdoors, under rain-proof tents, in a beautiful Village park, with live music; food and drink vendors; an interactive, supervised Kids’ Art Tent; cash prizes for participating artists: $100 People's Choice Artist Prize and $100 People's Choice Crafter Prize; and a special exhibit by Sherburne-Earlville Central School art students.
As a local artist, we invite you to participate in this year’s festival. Festivities include a gift basket ticket auction and two raffles, the proceeds from which go to the Sherburne Public Library. The entry fee of $30 entitles each artist to a 15-foot covered space to display your art and helps defray expenses associated with producing the Festival. Your artwork may be offered for sale, if you wish.
The Festival Committee will use appropriate media to advertise the event, including ads, posters, newspaper articles, Facebook, and postings on sherburneartshow.blogspot.com.
The deadline for reserving your space is June 1, but tent spaces are allocated on a first-come, first-serve basis, so an early response will ensure that your name gets included in our pre-event publicity. Entry fees are also due by June 1. Checks should be made payable to “Sherburne Public Library” and mailed to Sherburne Arts & Crafts Family Festival, P. O. Box 1163, Sherburne, NY 13460.
